Friday!

calm

current mood: calm

Lol, ok so I got a lot of responses from yesterday's post where I was blabbing away not realizing just how "indulgent" I came across. Just to clarify I was really mindful of how much of what I was eating and I think some of the wording I used may have been misleading. Haha, well point is that I've been losing weight and I know what works for my body. Believe me, I'm an expert at losing weight for MY body so what seems to work for me may not apply to you.

I appreciate the concern from those of you who understand sarcasm and a sense of humor when they see it. All in all, most of what I wrote was truthful but exaggerated.

Today's Easter weekend friday w00t w00t, hope everyone is enjoying their vacation if they have one~! Will post a weigh-in by Tuesday. Hope everyone is doing fabulous and has their eye on the prize! Have a good day/weekend folks! ;)

It's good that you know what works for your body, that's really important : )

I hope Easter went well for you! I did pretty good on Easter, it's always hard!!

Yea definately. Easter was good. Had some family/friend drama though but yea everything went fine. I never viewed Easter as really a holiday gorge-fest, at least not in my household. So yea diet-wise I've been doing good. I'm not focusing on lbs. as much as feeling better about my body. How was your Easter? Hope you're doing well! :) Ttyl~

Ah I hate drama!

I dunno why, but in my family it's always been a gorge-fest. I guess a lot of people use holidays as an excuse though.

That's a really good outlook to have, to not focus on pounds and on how you feel instead. I really wish I could do that, but it's hard for me to actually get away from that number success, ya know?

My Easter went fine, I actually controlled my eating pretty well! It helped having a limited amount of candy in the house though =p

Yea I know, looking at the scale is definately a good way to keep track of things. But especially if you are exercising more and dieting and happen to supposedly "gain" weight, it's good to remember that you may be gaining muscle and losing fat, which is my ultimate goal. I'm not really worried about the lbs. as much as getting to a lower body fat percentage, b/c that's when you get to see the muscle definition and get that toned and sexy look, which to me is so hot!! Lol. Just think of body types like Charlize Theron, Eva Longoria, Jennifer Aniston, etc.. they are not rail thin but have good muscle mass, so they look fantastic in anything really. They have the body type I hope to achieve.

Haha yea I'm totally ranting, but anywho yea stay on the wagon and don't feel too bad when ya do splurge once a blue b/c that's impossible unless you're Gandhi ahaha. In fact, today I didn't do so well on my portion sizes and salty-oily food (my mom makes the most yummy/oily foods... WHY???) and I had a serving of potato chips in addition, but I actually don't really feel guilty about it at all because I kinda changed the way I look at food as well. I see it more as feul than anything now. I'm going to try to limit my "naughty-food" days to once a week if I can.

Anywho, I'm totally ranting yet again lol but yea eye on the prize and keep up the fabulous work!!

Yeah the scale is a good way, but it can be deceiving. I think that the gain in weight really only happens if you have very little to lose. Unfortunately I don't think I'd see a little muscle gain for a long time, haha. I definitely would love to look toned and sexy like those ladies! I doubt I'll ever have that good of a body though, but it's definitely something to work toward.

Don't worry about the ranting, I rant like crazy a lot of the time, haha. Do you like salty or sweet foods better? I think salty foods are way more of a weakness for me than sweet. Yeah it's so hard to eat well, it's not like quitting smoking where you can do it cold turkey!

Ahahaha, yeap food will always be there, so you need to constantly worry about eating right and the right portions. But yea it's good to see it as a positive thing, a good lifestyle change of sorts. Yea it's funny I like sweet but after I eat some sweet suddenly I crave salty (I think that's my body's way of offsetting the sweet-salty imbalance? idk lol). I'm swearing off ice-cream after tomorrow b/c I need to cut out unnecessary carbs, even though I don't really think I'm doing much damage on my diet with it (frozen yogurt). But yea I am ok with eating bad stuff once in a while b/c I've been exercising consistently for once and I think I need the energy. Yea I'm about to get my period in about a week and a half, so yea I can sense the frenzied food-monster coming around the corner soon :P

Yea muscle gain is achieved by using weights, eating lean protein, and getting lots of sleep. Luckily I was blessed with decent legs thanks to my mom so my calves always look pretty cut, which is nice. Now if only I could get my tummy to be proportionate... lol

Anywho, hope you're doing well! Salty or sweet for you?
