First weigh-in in kg~

March 18th, 2008 (03:41 pm)

current mood: cheerful

Hi all,

This is my first weigh-in on my weight loss crusade. I can only post my weight in kg since that's what my scale reads. I came in at:

Weight: 60.8 kg
Height: 5'5"

My reading is actually great b/c I weighed around 66 kg for a while the past few months and haven't been weighing myself b/c I was too afraid to see my Stats. So yea I was a bit surprised. But yea I was 61 kg a few weeks ago and I notice that at that time I looked a lot more toned than I do today, and I know this b/c I can feel the way my thighs touch and also I fit pants differently. I don't think it's just my "perception".. so yea I don't understand how I could weigh less but be fatter? I'm wondering if I lost muscle mass? I'm a little confused about that, but in any case at least I made some progress. I will put in a weigh-in every Tuesday morning to track my progress. I'm not going to be a nazi about weighing myself everyday b/c it's pointless since our bodies are constantly changing weight due to several factors which have nothing to do with your weight loss efforts.

Anywho, so that's that and I hope everyone else is doing fabulous! Finally is getting nice out, even more motivation :)

Yeah, it's possible that over time you lost muscle. You could also be retaining water. Who knows, but don't worry about it! : )

Keep up the good work! (I can't wait till it gets nice out here.....it was rainy all day)

Hehe thanks! :) Yea still have a whiles to go but getting closer little by little.. yea where abouts are you? I heard all over north america there have been showers today, but it still hasn't reached my area yet and I suspect it will by tom. Until it gets nice, there's always the gym ;) Keep up the great work as well!!

Oh where in Michigan? I have a friend in Ann Arbor. I'm in a suburban area of NY. Yea yesterday was rainy all day and today wasn't rainy but still kinda icky. Hopefully tom. will be gorgeous :) I'm going out tom. night to a bar and I'm kinda scared about getting wasted and how it would affect my diet lol.

Yea you don't have to do workouts every single day although it's great if ya do. Just make sure if you don't today you get your tush exercisin' tom. Just think about the beach come summer and getting a tan hehe. That motivates me when I'm having a "fat" day to go do some exercise the next day~ ;)

Yeah, I'm pretty close to that area. I live in the metro detroit area. Just plan out what you're going to drink ahead and try to stick to it. Gettin wasted isn't gonna help you much.

I would think about tanning, but I don't tan, haha. I only get burned : ( (I'm very pale skinned)

Yea she and another friend of mine are at UM. Yea I don't drink often, in fact it's been over a month since I had any alcohol, so this would be a once in a blue thing. Just a few drinks at most.

Aww, I would then recommend spf 45 and a cute beach outfit to keep ya motivated~! ;)

Mannn, more like SPF 100! ; )

Yeah, I've definitely been looking at the swimsuits, I don't think I'll be into the one that I want to get by summer, so I found a couple of cute outfits that were on clearance that I got and a couple things that fit now, cause I thought that might be a bit motivating to have those start to fit. They're about a size lower.

So how have you been doin this week?

Oh I love sales and clearance items.. honestly I don't remember the last time I bought something full-price lol! Idk if that's good or bad.... :P

I've been doing good thanks~ I've been staying committed to not binging and eating healthier and trying to exercise consistently, and so far so good. I think if I keep going at this rate, I should be losing weight slowly but surely and get to a size lower (comfortably, not squeezing myself into lol) by summer time! :)

How about you, how have you been doing this week?

Wednesday through Friday was a complete FLOP for me. I think it's because that time of the month was coming, and I tend to get more manic around that time. I had also forgotten to take my meds a couple days, which makes it a lot harder to control my eating. I finally got myself turned around on Saturday and finally hit my 4 weeks straight of working out! (I only missed 2 days in addition to my 1 day off a week) Woohoo!

What do you do for exercise usually?

I'm sure if you keep it up you'll be at least a size lower by summer.

I've been doing some light jogging and elliptical machines as often as I could manage and have been trying to keep my diet healthy. I'm not focusing on lbs. lost but how I "feel" more. And I think it's definatly helped me to stay on track and stay committed. Yea the best thing to do when ya get off track is to get back on. That's awesome that you made it a full month doing staying committed to your exercise goals! I've been doing well for a week now and hope I can manage a full month too! Yea, I think getting to a size smaller by summer time is a very do-able goal :)

Stay and track and keep up the great work! :) What kind of exercises do you do? Have you noticed any differences since you started your exercise program? Ttyl~
